Jessica White
Jessica White is the Director of the Division of Science and Public Health Policy within the Office of Science and Data Policy (SDP). In this role, Jessie leads a multidisciplinary team of analysts and economists to conduct policy analysis, research and coordination focused on public health and biomedical science issues and initiatives. Jessie began her career in ASPE in 2011 as a graduate student SCEP intern and joined ASPE full-time in 2012. Jessie has served as an analyst and the team lead for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention portfolio, coordinating a variety of research and policy activities, providing review and analysis, and maintaining subject matter expertise on public health and science issues. Jessie has also served as the SDP lead for overdose prevention policy and was a 2014 recipient of the Secretary’s Award for Distinguished Service as co-coordinator of Secretary Burwell’s Opioid Initiative Team. Prior to federal service, Jessie worked for the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine, focusing on policy development and advocacy related to primary care workforce, graduate medical education, biomedical research, and physician-scientist workforce issues. Jessie received her M.P.P. and certificates in health policy and health finance and management from the Johns Hopkins University and her B.A. from Georgetown University.
