Gretchen Lehman
Gretchen Lehman is the acting Director for the Division of Family and Community Policy. She manages a team that works on cross-cutting issues such as criminal justice involvement and reentry, economic mobility, employment, human trafficking, interpersonal violence, and program integration. Prior to stepping into this temporary position, Gretchen was a lead social science analyst in this division, primarily serving as the coordinator for the federal interagency Council on Economic Mobility. Earlier in her career, she held several positions in the Administration for Children and Families, including Policy and Partnerships Branch Chief for the Assets for Independence program in the Office of Community Services. Gretchen began at HHS as a Presidential Management Fellow in ASPE after earning a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Social and Economic Development from Washington University in St. Louis.
